Last night (or this morning O_o) a group of 5 hearty souls ventured into Ubrs with the sole intent of taking down Rend these five intrepid adventurers were

Gravis - aka Phat Trap Layer with the +100 agi in buffs Keszaya - aka Touch My Sheep and Taste my Fireball Cami - aka Tank Master Flex Oki - aka Mr. 308 DarkwingD - aka Gnome Sex Symbol

Making our way to Rend we discovered a few interesting things.

Kes will always be sheeping the summoner don't doubt this, even if it may look like she has forgot, the summoner will be sheeped.

Grav can put traps in places you wouldn?t think possible, " I'm going to trap the guy in the back on the left, and have him half facing the wall with his right arm extended at a 25 degree angle."

Cami can and will tank 6 things at once and you will not, even if you try (not that any one would do that...... =D) pull aggro.

Oki knows the way of the shield, and will be teaching seminars, which should be mandatory for all priests, and he is Mr. 308!

I'm sexy and very good at breaking sheeps and traps :)

All five of you can be banished at once allowing the Orcs in the Emberseer's room to sit back and have tea.

Dragons can apparently walk through walls and bring their friends back with them, gogo funky pathing!

We were successful in our endeavor and down went Rend :)

We then proceeded to the Beast with our best attempt getting him down to 50%.

Oki had the best line from our Beast attempt

"I was having a problem healing because I was punted and feared in the Air"

So we were wondering...

Eh very good job guys. To bad it wasnt a guild effort :-/.

Its sad that elites is dying and this is an example of why. No mention of this was given in g chat or forums or mail or anything and u guys proceeded to go. Most of the time elites doesnt even do anything anymore. Why was this done with 2 evolve members when we have people in our guild always ready and wanting to do any instance? Is it because we are not "uber l337" enough?

This is exaclty why this guild has gone to shit. No one does anything any more besides play their alts. I like the people in this guild but honestly..why isnt anything being done so that we can do more endgame content? and by that i dont mean just MC. Things like 5 man baron/5 man scholo. We could recruit more people/merge guilds/ anything but yet..we all sit idly in IF doing nothing.

When i see u guys 5 man UBRS and 2 out of 5 party members were from Evolve when many elites would have gladly gone it just makes me sad.

Blum, as to your response as why it was a not an all guild raid, is two fold

1) This has been discussed between the 5 of us for an extended period of time, and we have been working towards it. By that I mean getting diffrent items and buffs. I will admit I was caught offguard on this atempt, I log in at midnight and all ofa sudden we are goignto Ubrs it was a bit of a scramble to even get all my poisons(which btw I ran out of).

2) The play time of the people involved, for some strange reason(well not so strange for Grav and somewhat for Oki) we all play late at night. While the majority of people who are in the guild play towards the start of our normal play time by the time we really get involved most of you are asleep :)

I agree with you on the state of the guild, I have not been very vocal with my concerns, but if our doing this forces the issue then so be it. But I won't bring in this post, or at this time.

This is more a post to celebrate the fact that we have the best preist & hunter on this server, and I would put them up aginst other servers as well :)

Please also rember as I was the OP on the WoW boards the overall opnion will be that it was an Elites acomplishment :)

HEy nothing against Dark but i resent the comment about gravis being the uber hunter on the server... granted grav has a shitload better items then me but grav was also invited to MANY runs when i was not.. mainly tribute with oki and i am not.. i am usually left out of EVERYTHING and i never know why... granted i do not have the best tim schedule and am usually on when nobody else is.. but still i am on late at night many times and yet never get to go to anything... i always play my alts cause i am broed with dancin especially when i dont get invited to anything.. so.. right now i am in the process of lvling my rogue to get to 60 and i have not decided if i was to move Retna to an alternate guild.. ( evolve prolly ) and it has nothing against you guys.. i like dancin being in elites.. and this isnt like the andie thing where she just keeps going and coming.. i just wanted to see how other guilds work. AND to TJ.. I AM NOT QUITTING WOW!

Just cause i want to rant more on my leet skills with dancin... :P she also has more life then ANY hunter i have seen (exception azuroth- bitch plays too much pvp and has all the leet pvp gear) now most ppl dont think this is a very good thing but i think it is.. i dont know if OKI really likes me tanking or not.. but i have realized that when we did 3 man strath (oki, bohle and myself) that if Oki healed too much and pulled aggro of of extra's from bohle that i would pull form him.. i have over 4k life and that means i can take a beating for a while(unless is an ogre from DM :P) but to say the least my pet tanks 1 i tank 1 bohle tanks 1 while i am helping him kill and oki heals myself and bohle.. :P that is al least 3 elites at once and i know boyhle can take a beating form at least 3 at a time without really hurting.. so i just want to be included in a lot of things that i never get to.. i understand dark and grav have ran together rfrom day 1 .. that is cool... but still i get to run with random ppl i never hear about.. and prolly never will agin.. most of my "hi-end" instance runs never include members of elites.. and that saddens me i wish i could do more htings with you guys and that is the main reason that i run alts.. cause it doesnt matter who i run im always stuck solo and being in the guild is mainly for chat purposes.. :( oh well START INVITING me to stuff plz

I am also never really invited to things, it does almost make sense though, I was one of the most recent to turn 60, so I have the lowest ammount of decent gear. I spend most of my time dying in pickup raids or solo farming becasue of this. Both of those actions really don't help me get anywhere in this game. Low level alts seems to be all I can do in this game now. See you all in Westfall...

To add to this impromptu rant, I'd like to say that things seem to be getting slightly better lately. I've done more 5-man instance runs with guildies in the last couple weeks than I ever remember.

I can echo some of Dancin's desent as far as having a 60 Hunter goes. When creating a group, the almost universal rule is if you want crowd control, get a mage, if you can't find a mage, get a rogue, if you can't find a rogue, get a hunter. I can't count how many times there's been an "open call" for a 5-man group and I was passed off because they didn't want a Hunter.

That's why I've been rolling other characters, but I'm always available to hop back over and do something with the guild.

I think we need better communication, lately there's been a bit more activity on the boards. I've been getting bored lately because I log in and just sit around not accomplishing anything (bring in another reason for alts). If I could work on something else and have someone IM me when they're looking to put something together, I'd jump in the game and play for a while.

There are a lot of solutions to the problem, we just need to enable them.
